Child Protection Policy at TKS
The KAUST School is committed to supporting the health, safety, and care of every student enrolled at our school. To this end, the Education Board have adopted a Child Protection Policy and the school has written a Child Protection and Safeguarding Handbook to guide our professional practices and govern how we deal with concerns around harm, abuse, and neglect.
Our Child Protection Policy is based on international law and on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which has been ratified by Saudi Arabia.
All parents enrolling a child at TKS agree to work in partnership with the school and abide by this policy, while all adults who visit or work at TKS must abide by the TKS Adult Code of Conduct outlined in our handbook.
By working closely together, we can all ensure that all children are treated with respect and dignity and so grow and learn, free from fear, in a safe and supportive environment.
We thank you for your support in keeping TKS safe and invite you to contact the School Psychologist (Designated Safeguarding Lead), the School Director, or your child’s divisional principal, with any specific questions you may have about child protection or safeguarding at TKS.
